About the Studio

Before founding Studio Sarah Hatch, Sarah spent eight years at Skidmore Owings and Merrill in New York City crafting her design career. She became a Senior Designer, and led high profile projects all over the world. Her works include boutique offices in the UAE, private quarters for Hyundai in South Korea, a fashion investment firm on Central Park, a technology firm in London and Japan, and a high end multifamily residential project in San Francisco Forbes called “San Francisco’s Newest Luxury Waterfront Community.” She also worked on significant historical landmarks in NYC, Waldorf Astoria and Lever House. She led the interior design of SOM’s New York Studio, which won Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year award in 2022.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Sarah joined Marmol Radziner to focus on residential work. As a Project Manager, she led the design and execution of a famous American socialite’s prior historic residence. She worked with an artist, collectors, and artisans to infuse the socialite’s iconic spirit in each space, preserving and amplifying her story for her client. She also continued Lever House design and execution, working closely with vendors on custom furnishings and finishes designed to resonate with the building’s legacy.

Fueled by entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to great design, Sarah founded Studio Sarah Hatch. She thrives on connecting with clients to form design visions, developing their details, and bringing them to life. She has personal relationships with craftsmen, artists, and makers in LA, New York, and Europe, and works closely with them to develop unique pieces for each project. Her holistic approach seamlessly blends architecture and context, guided by modernist principles, and is layered with warmth and humanity through narrative to make each project uniquely it’s own story. Each project is a testament to Sarah’s artistry and client collaboration.
